Mary "Irene" Desautel, 84, of Central Falls, passed away on April 20, 2021 in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest Desautel. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Armand and Mary (Lavigne) Johnson.
She is survived by her children, David Desautel and his wife Emily, Thomas Desautel, Michael Desautel and his wife Susan, Debra Beaudoin and her husband Eugene, Kathleen Bailey and her husband Karl, Jeffrey Desautel and partner Jill Myers, Earl Desautel and Scott Desautel; 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Ernest Desautel and sister of the late Richard Johnson and Claire St. Jean.
Irene loved and cherished her family. She enjoyed socialising, keeping up with current events and helping others. From her Florida lanai to Cellar Ceramics, Irene lit up every place she graced. Truly one of a kind, Irene will be missed but her legacy and spirit live on.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, April 24th from 4:00 – 7:00pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a funeral home service at 7:00pm. Burial is private.
